The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Project Leadership:** Lead and manage underground excavation projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- **Team Management:** Supervise and mentor excavation crews, providing guidance and support to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- **Safety Compliance:** Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all crew members adhere to safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety meetings and compliance audits.
- **Technical Expertise:** Provide technical expertise in excavation methods, equipment use, and best practices. Troubleshoot issues and resolve challenges as they arise.
- **Communication:** Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure clear communication and understanding of project specifications and requirements.
- **Quality Control:** Monitor the quality of work and materials used in excavation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
- **Equipment Management:** Oversee the maintenance and proper use of excavation equipment, coordinating with the equipment team for repairs and servicing as needed.
- **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of project progress, personnel, equipment usage, and safety incidents. Prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in underground excavation or related fields.
- Extensive knowledge of excavation techniques, equipment, and safety practices.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Proficient in using excavation management software and tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, Heavy Equipment Operator) preferred.
